Who, When, and How Salvage Gets Awarded:

Who Awards Salvage: |
- The company or individual selling the salvage has the right to award the salvage to the highest bidder or retain the salvage.
- The company or individual selling the salvage is responsible for contacting the buyer by fax, phone or e-mail to make arrangements for payment, pick-up, and transfer of title.

When to Award Salvage: |
- Big Truck Salvage recommends awarding the salvage within 14 days from the time the salvage closes.
- All buyers who bid on a piece of salvage are required to honor their bid for 30 days from the time the salvage closes. After 30 days, the salvage buyer has the right to reject the salvage or re-negotiate their salvage bid.

How to Award Salvage: |
- Salvage is awarded by the seller either by phone, fax, or e-mail. Big Truck Salvage recommends the seller issue an Award Letter to the buyer. Please make a follow-up phone call to make sure the buyer has received notification. Communication between the buyer and seller is a key for success.
- Once the seller has the contact information for the high bidder, he/she will need to negotiate the money exchange, transfer of title, salvage pick-up and any other necessities with the salvage buyer.

- Salvage will be awarded to the high bidder by the company or individual selling the salvage. Big Truck Salvage does not award any salvage.

When to Award Salvage: |
- The company or individual selling the salvage is responsible for contacting the buyer within 30 days after the salvage closes.
- If the high bidder has not been contacted by the salvage seller within seven days after the salvage closes, he/she may obtain the sellers’ name and phone number through the Your Account section under the View Your Bids link. The high bidder is given the seller contact information.
- After 30 days, the buyer has the right to reject the salvage or re-negotiate their salvage bid.
