Description Of Damage: |
This unit left the roadway and laid over onto the right side into a snowbank. The damage includes the right fender and right side hood panel, air cleaner assembly, door shell, door frame, toolbox assembly, belly band and right side sleeper panel. The right side cab air ride is damaged. The cab guard obscures the rear panel so we do not know if that might be damaged in the areas that you can not see. The right side sleeper sill and floor appears to OK. The fiberglass sleeper roof has a long crack from front to back which will require repair. The rear end torque rods are damaged. Since the livestock trailer it was hauling went over with the unit there is most likely some frame damage. |
|
Comments: |
The engine was shut off right away by the driver. The cooling pack appears to be OK. The engine appears to be OK, as does the tranmission. No damage seen to the flywheel houing or engine mounts. Front cab mounts are not damaged. The owner told us that the engine had an inframe bottom end overhaul that we do not have documentation for at this time. We do not know how many miles ago this was done. |
