| Description Of Damage: |
The damage was caused when the unit struck and drove over a tree that has fallen across the road. The damage includes the brush bumper, chrome bumper, right fender, R.S. headlight assembly, turn signal assembly, right side fairings, left side fairings, right side extenders. the rear sleeper panel damage should be repairable. The Axle beam was shoved back 3-5 inches and could be shot. There is damage to the u-bolts, shocks, steering gear, pitman arm, drag link and tie rod assembly. The right fuel tank is shot as is the oil pan that torn open on impact. The engine was shut down right away. The stamped cross member in front of the cooling pack is bent and the lower radiator hose and pipe are damaged. It is possible that the leaf springs are damaged. The transmission and rear end appear to be OK. The unit did jackknife so there could be a frame damage. |

This unit has has some major work done to it in the last two years. We have documentation on an in-frame overhaul ($13,300) December 2013. Fuel injectors January 2015 ($4,700. Clutch and bell housing October 2015 (approx $2,500) rebuilt front differential and axles and spindle January 2014 ($4,800). and all new tires 15,000 miles ago (5,000). |
