The information provided will explain the Your Account section.
Overview:
Your contact information and transaction history is now available through the “Your Account” section. This section allows you to update your contact information, as well as, review each transaction you have completed on BTS. When salvage closes, buyers have immediate feedback as to whether they were the high bidder. Sellers have the ability to track their salvage, review salvage results and download invoices.

It is very important that both the buyer and seller have up-to-date contact information listed in their account. The information is used by both the buyer and seller to complete sales transactions. To update your account information, click on the “Your Account” tab at the top of any page. Use your User ID (your e-mail can also be used) and password to sign into your account. After signing into your account, choose the “Edit User Info” link at the top of the page. Click on the appropriate box to update your information. We advise you to change your password word to something that is familiar to you. Once you have changed the information needed, click on the “Update Your User Info” button at the bottom of the page. If you decide you do not want to update the information, click on the “Cancel Changes” button at the bottom of the page. You will be returned to the “View User Info” page.

A complete list of your bid history with Big Truck Salvage may be viewed by signing into “Your Account” and clicking on the “View Your Bids” link at the top of the page. Your bids are separated into the year in which you placed them. The default year that is displayed is the current year or the last year you placed a bid. A drop down box at the top right of the page allows you to select the year. Once a year has been selected, a list showing all the bids you have placed will be displayed.
The “View Your Bids” page displays two different information boxes – Open Salvage and Closed & Posted Salvage. Open Salvage displays the open salvage in which you have placed a bid. By selecting one of the pieces in this box, you can review the salvage’s survey sheet, print the salvage’s pictures, print the salvage’s survey sheet, or replace your bid. The Closed & Posted Salvage box displays the salvage in which you’ve bid on that is closed, posted, or has been taken off the site. In this box, you will be told whether you placed the high bid on the salvage. If you are the high bidder, a red check mark will be displayed underneath the High Bidder column and an information link will be displayed under the seller’s information column. If you are the high bidder on a piece of salvage, please wait three days before contacting the seller. This period will allow the seller time to process the results from Big Truck Salvage.

A complete list of the salvage you have submitted with Big Truck Salvage may be viewed by signing into “Your Account” and clicking on the “View Your Salvage” link at the top of the page. Every piece of salvage you have listed will be displayed by the year in which it was submitted. The default year is the current year or the last year you submitted a piece of salvage. A drop down box at the top right of the page allows you to select another year. Once a year has been selected, a list showing all the salvage submissions you have placed will be displayed.
The “View Your Salvage” page displays three different information boxes – Open Salvage, Closed & Posted Salvage and Sold Salvage. The Open Salvage box displays all the salvage you have submitted that is currently open for bids. The Closed & Posted Salvage box displays the salvage that has closed or has been posted. During the pending phase, the bidding results will be sent to the seller. In addition, the seller can download the results and the invoice by clicking on the PDF file under the “Bids Info & Invoice” column. The Sold Salvage box displays the salvage that has been taken off the site. Under the “Billing Status” column, you will be shown the current status of your invoice.

One of the extra features we have extended to the companies that have an account with us is the ability to generate reports from the data that BTS has collected. Each examiner or company representative will have the ability to run reports on the salvage which they have submitted, and on the salvage that has been submitted on their behalf. There will be three default reports which an examiner/company representative can select; Submission Report Summary, Overdue Invoice Summary, and Salvage Survey Sheet.
Submission Report Summary – After entering a date range, this report will display all the salvage submissions that were submitted by you, the examiner/company representative, and all submissions placed on your behalf.
Overdue Invoice Summary - Lists all the invoices for your account that are overdue.
Salvage Survey Sheet – After entering a BTS salvage ID, this report will displays a salvage survey sheet of the selected piece of salvage.
Custom reports can be created for a companies and/or individual examiners/representatives. Please contact BTS at 770-474-4007 for custom report inquiries.

The Salvage Statistical Analysis section is a feature which allows companies that have an account with BTS to derive statistical information about the salvage that is sold on BTS. This section builds information about ACV’s, Average ACV’s and overall rate of return for salvage information that BTS has collected since 1996. The feature is only enabled for company accounts. If you are an examiner or a company representative and would like access to this section, please contact BTS at 770-474-4007.
